U99 has been laid up for repairs, and Herr Kapitan is anxious to get under way before the ice can get a grip.
A Terragen2 render incorporating Anders Lejczak's excellent U-boat model (www.colacola.se). I took his texture pic into Photoshop to paint some rust on the hull before applying it to the model. Post render I painted snow on the deck, and painted in the figure atop the conning tower, using Photoshop. All terrain displacements and clouds are fully procedural. The large terrain features are land , not icebergs (started off as icebergs but with further displacements no longer looked like bergs, so not bergs).
